Coming home

Today in the Holy Trinity Anglican Church Grenfell, family and friends farewelled Robyn 'Ann' Parker (nee Freudenstein). Ann and her husband of 52 years Ian, had lived in Coffs Harbour for a long time but they always called Grenfell home. In fact they went to school together in the little hall adjacent to the church. Ann's four children spoke of a woman with outstanding values - someone who never did anything by halves. She was renowned for her fruit cakes and pavlovas, and would remake them if they weren't good enough. Ann loved red roses and the family chose to adorn her coffin with a beautiful selection of natives and red roses. Her sudden death has left the family in shock but they are in no doubt that she wanted to return home.
