  • Ernie Miller - a real Aussie character

Today we have farewelled Ernest William Miller - beloved brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, parishioner, friend and mate of many at St Joseph's Nursing Home in Young, NSW. He was 85 years old

  • Vale Jean Waugh

Yesterday, many gathered at the Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Grenfell to farewell Dorothy Jean Waugh. Sue Simpson said Jean's faith was very important to her - she was a committed member of the parish and always sat in the same spot at Mass

  • Farewell Gwen Hargraves

"In a touching ceremony full of family, Gwen Hargraves was farewelled at St Johns Anglican Church in Young. Gwen was well known in the Young community and will be sadly missed by her loving husband Ron and children, Maurice & Jody, Shawn & Audra, Anne-Marie & Tony, Wendy & Kevin, and Jason & Sharna. Her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren took the time to draw pictures and write their own personal messages to their beloved Nan and each one of them was attached to a ribbon in Gwen's coffin. A very special day with even the little ones able to say their own goodbyes."

  • Funeral Service for Mrs Rose Helen Campbell

Recently we held a Funeral Service for Mrs Rose Helen Campbell, better known as Helen. Helen moved from Sydney four years ago to live with her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and George in Young. Helen died on Monday 28 April 2014 at home - just as she wanted, aged 92 years. We first met Linda in mid November when Helen had a stint in hospital. She knew she was unwell but hated being in hospital and she asked Linda and George to take her home
