  • Taken so suddenly - Vale Craig Condon

    More than 600 mourners assembled in St Joseph's Catholic Church, Grenfell on Wednesday to bid farewell to local man, Craig Condon. Craig was tragically killed in a car accident in Orange and his four children played a large role in creating a Funeral Service that appropriately honoured their much-loved dad. The music had been especially chosen by his children and partner, Christine. Craig has left a huge hole in the hearts of many throughout the Grenfell, Parkes and Orange districts. Rest in peace Craig


  • Colleen Handcock - Grenfell's second mother

    Grenfell's Bowling Club auditorium was filled to capacity yesterday as many came to farewell Grenfell's second mother - Colleen Handcock. A beautiful service in her honour was lead by celebrant, Annette Parr, with many people commenting it was just 'perfect' for Colleen. The Grenfell community dug deep and donated more than $1,000 for the Australian Cancer Research Foundation and the Grenfell Hospital Auxiliary. Rest in peace Colleen, you will be sadly missed by so many


  • John Phillips - a true gentleman

    The community of the Weddin Shire said farewell to John Charles Phillips last Friday. John was at the helm of the Shire for many years and the congregation heard of his incredible stewardship which helped them be in the position they are today. John was a true gentleman and his grandchildren shared stories of wonderful family holidays involving games of tennis and cards. This man of the community will be sadly missed - rest in peace John Phillips
